The ILEETA Periodicals are published without advertising, exclusively for the members of ILEETA.   Periodicals are published at various times throughout the year, and are provided to the members vie emailed PDF files, with the exception of The ILEETA Digest, which is also sent via United States Mail.  Back issues of all ILEETA periodicals are available to ILEETA Members in the Member Gateway.

ILEETA Members are encouraged to submit articles, reviews and other information for any and all ILEETA periodicals.  Due to the volume of submissions, it's important that submissions meet the editorial guidelines established by the editors.  Please click on the following link to download a copy of the ILEETA Publications Submissions Guidelines.

ILEETA Publications Submission Guidelines

There are four ILEETA periodicals:  The ILEETA Digest©, The ILEETA Review©, The ILEETA Use of Force Journal©, and The ILEETA Chronicle©.

The ILEETA Digest is published quarterly, and contains short articles by and for trainers and educators.  The goal of the Digest is to encourage the sharing of ideas and information among the members of ILEETA.  The information contained within the Digest is meant to keep ILEETA members informed of important issues pertaining to them in a timely fashion. It also contains information that may make them better prepared as instructors within the criminal justice system.

The ILEETA Review is published quarterly, and contains reviews of training materials such as books, videos, software, and training programs.  Reviews are written by the members of ILEETA, and are presented in order to assist members in evaluating the usefulness and value of the reviewed materials.

The ILEETA Use of Force Journal is published quarterly, and contains articles and other information regarding the use of force  While the ILEETA Digest provides short training tips and information, the Use of Force Journal is intended to provide a stage for presenting articles that are longer, and therefore not appropriate for the Digest.

The ILEETA Chronicle is published annually, and contains articles on many topics of interest to educators and trainers.  While the Use of Force Journal specifically covers force and control issues, the Chronicle is intended as a broader platform for covering many different disciplines.  The Chronicle contains articles on high risk law enforcement activity, legal issues, trainer development, and many other subjects.
