“On this date of Feb. 1, 2010, a high speed pursuit was led into Sequoyah Co. from Sebastian Co. with Deputies from Sebastian Co., Arkansas, and other area officers pursuing behind the suspect vehicle. One of the suspects in the vehicle was an escapee from a Correction Center who had assisted in the assault of a Detention Officer during escape. The Officer later deceased from injuries directly caused from his assailant’s attack.

“The subjects had run at least two different road blocks where they were attempted to be stopped. They approached the Sequoyah County Sheriff’s Department road block that I was assisting in where I had deployed the MagnumSpike! system. A direct contact was made by the new model Ford F150 truck and shortly after the tires were deflated and shredding from the spikes direct puncture into the tires. Without this product the lives of numerous persons would have been in great danger due to coming into a highly populated residential/business district of the Town of Sallisaw, Oklahoma.”
